Highlight

EU De Minimis Coverage Now Includes USPS, OSM, and Pitney Bowes: In v10.4.0.10, ShipWise started sending the product identifiers EU customs requires from November 1 for nine carriers. This release adds three more. On EU-bound shipments, ShipWise now sends the Manufacturer Part Number, plus the UPC when the product has one, from your product records for USPS, OSM, and Pitney Bowes.

  • USPS: International labels to the EU with content type Merchandise or Sample now include the product identifiers on each customs line, formatted the way USPS requires.
  • OSM: The OSM International close now sends OSM's updated EU customs file, with product identifiers on each customs item and the IOSS number in its own column.
  • Pitney Bowes: PB Expedited Delivery labels for USPS international services now carry the product identifiers on EU-bound shipments.

Get ready before November 1: make sure each product you ship to the EU has a Manufacturer Part Number. If your store already sends one, ShipWise uses it automatically. You'll see it in the Mfg Part Number column on the “Products” page. To add a missing one, edit the product on the “Products” page in the ShipWise Web App and fill in the Manufacturer Part Number (NS-PID) field, send it from your order management system, or send it through the Public API using the nsPid field. A UPC is only needed if the product has one.

Carriers

  • FedEx: Saved reference mappings now stay on the carrier account after a refresh, and adding a new mapping no longer overwrites the last one. Reference Number and Freight Reference Number each keep their own list.

  • Pitney Bowes: PB Presort shipments now include Delivery Confirmation when it is selected, on the Standard Presort services that support it. Selecting a special service no longer blocks label creation.

  • UPS: Air dangerous goods shipments now come back with the Shipper's Declaration for Dangerous Goods with the label. To turn it on, add your DG Signatory Name, Title, and Place in your UPS carrier account settings. ShipWise also now selects Passenger Aircraft or Cargo Aircraft Only based on each package's net quantity.

Additional Fixes and Features

  • Order weight fills itself in. Create Order now totals the item weights on file and recalculates as you add items or pallets. You can still edit the weight, and a weight you type is never overwritten.
  • Optional order value auto-fill. Turn on the new option under Global Settings > Products to fill each line's price and customs value from the product's Price (or Cost, if Price is empty) and set the order value to the total. It's off by default, and the value stays editable.
  • Kosovo is now a destination. Select Kosovo in Create Order, address edits, Locations, and the Public API.
  • 300 DPI ZPL labels in the Public API. Request ZPL labels at 300 DPI. Label size and barcodes stay the same, so they print sharply on 300 DPI printers.
  • Cleaner batch pick lists. Pick lists now print with clean page breaks and the column header on every page, keep your grid's column order and sort, and split SKUs with many bin locations across pages cleanly.
